Routine Maintenance

After approximately 15,000 uses, simple, routine maintenance should be performed.  Maintenance consists of replacing the drain insert and giving the system a quick water rinse.  Here is how it is done:

THERE IS NO NEED TO ADD ODOR BARRIER BETWEEN CLEANING CYCLES.

1. Screw the key provided into the key hole of the drain insert and fill with water.

2. Pull upward on the insert to remove it.

3. Rinse the open trap with water.

4. Install the replacement insert, pressing down until you feel a tight fit and hear a slight popping sound.

5. Add 32 ounces of water.

6.Pour in the entire contents of your ZeroFlush Odor Barrier Liquid bottle.

At no time will the person replacing the odor barrier fluid come in contact with urine!
